The record company Joy Division was signed to was called Factory Records, in their catalog, if you wanted to order an album from them, you would say FAC and then what number the album was. Every album had it’s own number. Unknown Pleasures was FAC 10 and the Love Will Tear Us Apart single was FAC 23.
